American Jujitsu Institute
The
American Jujitsu Institute, headquartered in Honolulu,
Hawaii is a Non-Profit, 501(c)(3)
Educational Institution which
perpetuates Kodenkan/Danzan Ryu Jujitsu.
The founder of Kodenkan/Danzan Ryu Jujitsu, Henry Seishiro
Okazaki, was instrumental in the formation of the AJI
with hopes that it would carry his system of jujitsu
to all persons interested in its study. This mission
began in 1939 when the AJI was formed, continued through
the development of an official charter in 1947, and
remains our primary focus today.
2009 marks the 70th anniversary of our organization!
